The Lancer women’s basketball team lost to the Guelph Gryphons, 62-59, in the first round of the Ontario University Athletics playoffs, Wednesday in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse; find a full recap at goLancers.ca.

In other varsity action, men and women athletes will compete in the provincial track and field championship tournament, Friday and Saturday in Toronto.

Lancer volleyball will close out the regular season this weekend, hosting Guelph in a doubleheader Friday. The women will play at 6 and the men at 8 p.m. Sunday will see both squads honour their graduating seniors before taking on the Waterloo Warriors — the woman at 1 and the men at 3 p.m. The St. Denis Centre is the setting for all these matches.
