Soprano to recite stories of women’s lives and loves

Poems by Toni Morrison set to music by composer André Previn will cap a performance by soprano Jennifer Swanson, a UWindsor voice instructor, in the SoCA Armouries on Saturday, March 2.

Entitled “In Her Own Words,” the program also includes works by Henry Purcell and G.F. Handel, telling dramatic stories of women’s lives, loves, and struggles. Swanson will be accompanied by pianist Michael Karloff and cellist Karen McClellan.

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall at 37 University Ave. E.

Admission is $20 per person, $5 for students with ID. Tickets may be purchased in advance online with a credit card, or at the door with cash.
