Session to offer information on collaborative learning course

A session Wednesday, March 20, will address student questions about the “Walls to Bridges” program, which brings together incarcerated and non-incarcerated students in post-secondary courses in jails and prisons across Canada.

The Fall 2019 course “Tough Chicks: Representations of Women’s Strength and Anger in Popular Culture and Society” is a chance for collaborative learning between UWindsor students and students at the South West Detention Centre.

All students who successfully complete the course receive a university credit. All participants are peers, learning the class content through experiential and dialogical processes.

Wednesday’s information session will run 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall. Meet the instructor and members of the W2B collective to learn if the program is right for you.
