Viewbook highlights Windsor as destination for prospective students

With its travel-inspired theme, the 2020/21 Viewbook will remind prospective students that Windsor is not where Highway 401 ends, but where it starts, says Chris Busch, acting associate vice president, enrolment management.

The publication, a key component of the University’s student recruitment efforts, has enjoyed its first major redesign in years and is now available for distribution in print and electronically. Request a copy online.

“The idea is to set the narrative of Windsor as a destination by building excitement, wonder, and a feeling of exploration regardless of the distance — from four blocks away, four miles, or four time zones,” Busch says.

The Viewbook builds on the “Windsor Proud” marketing campaign, dedicating a two-page spread to each faculty, as well as aspects of student life.

The marketing team within the Office of Enrolment Management, led by Alisa Giroux-Souilliere, developed content in consultation with academic faculties, departments, and programs, using feedback from student service and administrative areas.

“All our partners deserve a great note of appreciation for their contributions,” says Giroux-Souilliere. “We’re especially pleased that the composition was handled in-house, thanks to graphic designer Renée Bombardier of Public Affairs and Communications.”

The book is just one piece of the outreach activity supported by interactive elements, including a new online presence. UWindsor staff and faculty members can get their own print copies by stopping by the student recruitment office in the Stephen and Vicki Adams Welcome Centre.
