Screening to feature films about workers

The Canadian Labour International Film Festival will bring films about workers, the conditions under which they live and work, and related social justice issues, to Windsor with a screening Monday, Nov. 25, at the Green Bean Café.

Founder Frank Saptel says the festival is the stage and voice of those who seek justice on the job and dignity in their workplaces.

“Our festival continues to grow every year, whether it’s with a barrage of film submissions, more screenings being organized across the country, or with more people coming out to watch these incredible films that ignite thought, discussion, and action,” Saptel says.

Monday’s event is free and open to the public; it will feature these shorts:

  • A Radiant Sphere
  • Glasgow Women's Strike
  • Fishnet & the Fish
  • 24-Hour Workday
  • The Stain

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. in the café, 2320 Wyandotte St. West.
