Volleyball action to make Lancer fans UWin Proud

The Office of Student Experience has designated Lancer volleyball matches in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 18, #UWinProud Varsity Games and encourages staff, faculty, students, and friends of the University to turn out to cheer on the Blue and Gold.

The Lancers are hosting the Queens’s Gaels, with the women playing at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m.

Volunteers will be on-site selling T-shirts to raise funds and awareness for the March 20 UWindsor Relay for Life.

Volleyball will also be in action earlier in the weekend, hosting the Paladins of Royal Military College on Friday, Jan. 17.

Women’s hockey is the only other competition at home, facing off against the Toronto Varsity Blues at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Centre, Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Windsor squad will take to the road to play the Gryphons in Guelph on Saturday.

Men’s hockey will play the Varsity Blues in Toronto on Friday, then head over to the Mattamy Athletic Centre to take on the Ryerson Rams on Saturday.

Basketball rounds out the weekend line-up, in St. Catharines to play a doubleheader against the Brock Badgers. Tip-off is 6 p.m. for the women and 8 p.m. for the men.
