SIS Cutover begins Tuesday November 21

Mon, 11/19/2018 - 08:40

As part of the launch of the new UWinsite Student System on November 26th, the legacy SIS system will move into Read Only Mode. This will result in many functions becoming unavailable until launched in UWinSite Student.

Examples include: room/lab time changes or adjustments, addition of course sections for winter and advisors’ comments.

Furthermore many systems on campus that interface with SIS (myUWindsor, UWinCard, EGas, etc.) will have that interface removed. This may result in links missing from where you normally see them or out of date information being displayed.

Please see the following link for more information:

The University telephone system is currently experiencing difficulties with outgoing calls.  You may have problems calling out to a Bell, Rogers, Telus and possibly other phone numbers.    Technicians at our carrier are working on resolving issues with their core network which is affecting our service.   We trust this will be resolved asap and will post when an update is available.

Phishing Emails on Campus

Fri, 10/26/2018 - 12:47

There have been more reports of phishing emails being sent to University accounts. This is a reminder to always be careful with unusual emails. Hackers have ways of making emails appear to be from a friend or coworker when they are actually from across the world.

If you recieve an email requesting financial or personal information, the best option is to delete the email. Do not click any links or send payments.

If you are unsure of the legitimacy of an email please contact the IT Service Desk at 519-253-3000 x4440

Reminder that IT Services will NEVER request your current UWin Password.
