When her friends and colleagues learned that the family of UWindsor food services worker Pam Tapping needs financial assistance to cope with her treatment for pancreatic cancer, they did what comes naturally to them—organized a dinner.

A pasta fundraiser on campus Friday catered by her co-workers will feature entertainment, a bake sale and prize draws as well as an all-you-can-eat pasta buffet. The proceeds will go to benefit Tapping’s family, says organizer Maureen Brennan.

“We know there are a lot of people on campus who care about Pam and would like to find a way to help,” she says. “This dinner will be their chance.”

The event begins at 5 p.m. Friday, March 14, in Vanier Hall’s Winclare A room. Admission is $20; $10 for children. Find ticket details, as well as information on how to contribute if you are unable to attend, on the Facebook event page.
