Book documents artistic exploration of Border Cultures

Two members of the School of Creative Arts faculty are among the contributors whose work will be celebrated during the launch of the book Border Cultures, Friday, November 20, at the Art Gallery of Windsor.

The book brings together seven authors and the work of 45 artists, who participated in gallery’s three-year Border Cultures exhibition series: Part One (homes, land), 2013; Part Two (work, labour), 2014; and Part Three (security, surveillance), 2015.

Professor Lee Rodney’s project “The Border Bookmobile Public Archive and Reading Room” ran 2010-13 and was included in the exhibition’s first part. She and colleague Michael Darroch organized the “Diversions” symposium.

The book will sell for $30. Friday’s launch runs 4 to 6 p.m. in the Rodzik Gallery. The Art Gallery of Windsor is located at 401 Riverside Drive West.
