Crochet and loom knitting lessons to hook donations of winter wear

Campus Ministry is getting crafty in doing its bit to keep Windsor warm. In addition to holding a drive to collect hats, scarves, mitts and gloves, it is offering free lessons in crochet and loom knitting to volunteers willing to donate the results to the cause. Organizers are also collecting donations of yarn to be used for the handmade items.

There is no experience is necessary; bring a crochet hook or buy one for two dollars. One-hour sessions run through November in room 200, Assumption Hall, each Tuesday at noon. The classes will alternate between crochet November 8 and 22 and loom knitting November 15 and 29.

Collection bins are located in Assumption Hall, Canterbury College, residences, the Odette Building and the CAW Student Centre. Donated items will benefit people in need in Windsor. Learn more on the Campus Ministry website.
