Webpage designs to extend new look through UWindsor site

Next month’s rollout of new designs for UWindsor websites will occur automatically, requiring no additional action by departments or individuals, says Information Technology Services.

The designs mirror those already in use on the UWindsor.ca homepage, created by advertising agency STC and approved by the University.

“We are very excited to extend this look through our entire site,” says Marcin Pulcer, manager of web services and systems support. “Previews with key stakeholders from across campus have provided very positive feedback. People think the designs look more fresh and modern.”

The pending change is the initial step in a process to generate a more consistent University approach to online communications and will include updates to page colour schemes, menus, headers and footers, but will not affect content. For an example of this new design view the Student Life page.

These new designs are a first step in the process of modernizing the University websites, with new templates for departmental landing pages to be released at a later date.
