Additions to Drupal support site address advanced assignments

Several lessons added to the Drupal support site respond to user requests for more detailed training in the University’s web content management system, reports Rob Aitkens, web development team lead in Public Affairs and Communications.

“Our team has been working to address the specific questions raised by employees as they gain experience in the system,” he says. “I am very pleased we can add material to support them in communicating with their varying audiences.”

Among the new lessons are:

Aitkens has beefed up the information on ensuring content is accessible to readers regardless of ability and provided a guide to search engine optimization — helping your pages come to the attention of those looking for them.

He has also posted the fall semester schedule of classes offering basic training in Drupal, listing sessions October 3, November 7, and December 5. Registration opens two weeks before each class.
