Differing business structures subject of discussion

To incorporate or not to incorporate? That is a question that all entrepreneurs or business owners must ask themselves, and it will be the subject of the next session in the EPIC LAW Series.

Entitled “Getting Down to Business Structure Basics,” the free workshop will be led by Joshua Cheifetz, lawyer with Corrent & Macri LLP, at noon Monday, October 16, in the EPICentre on the second floor of the Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre.

Participants will explore a variety of corporate structures, including incorporation, partnerships, and sole proprietorships; the steps necessary to set up each; and the key differences between a legal name and a business name.

Cheifetz is an alumnus of the Dual JD program of the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, and specializes in corporate, commercial and tax law.
