Part-time students recognize individual achievements

The Organization of Part-time University Students celebrated its 49-year history and acknowledged the contributions of 21 individual honorees during its annual awards banquet, March 23 at the Caboto Club.

OPUS staffer Steve Jancev called the event a huge success.

“It was an exceptional celebration of outstanding individuals who make our university a unique place and those students that lead the way to a successful future,” he said.

The evening included musical performances by UWindsor student Adeniyi Agbola and local singer-songwriter Crissi Cochrane; a special visual presentation for OPUS executive director Maryan Amalow, recipient of a lifetime achievement award for her 13 years of service to the organization; and a video highlighting the organization’s activities during the 2017-18 academic year.
