Registration now open for Campus Technology Day 2015

 

With a theme of “Empowering U,” Campus Technology Day 2015 will include interactive presentations discussing the impact of technology in enhancing learning, teaching, research, and building community, May 7 in the CAW Student Centre.

In addition to a keynote address by Nancy Walton, director of e-learning at Ryerson University, the conference will feature sessions on collaboration tools in Microsoft 365, using FluidSurveys for administrative purposes, and the virtual classroom available through Blackboard.

Registration is free and includes a complimentary lunch and wine & cheese reception. Early birds who register by 4 p.m. April 23 will be entered into a draw for an Apple TV.

Three Lancers selected to national football showcase

Lancers Randy Beardy, Austin Crumb and Frank Renaud are among the Canadian Interuniversity Sport football prospects set to play in the East West Bowl, May 9 at McGill University’s Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

The event showcases players who will be eligible for the following year’s Canadian Football League draft. In addition to the game itself, the week’s activities include daily practices, a combine for participating players, a coaches’ clinic and the annual banquet.

Beardy is an offensive lineman, Crumb plays defensive back and Renaud is a linebacker. The Windsor representatives will play on the West team. See the full story at goLancers.ca
