Student Disability Services (SDS) provides a notetaking service for students who are registered with our office and, having met with an Advisor, have been approved to have notetaking support as a necessary accommodation. Once approved to have a notetaker, students are required to:
Submit a Call for Volunteer Notetakers form to each instructor in the courses for which they will require this accommodation
Submit a Notetaker Registration Form (Student) to Student Disability Services so that we may be aware of the courses for which a notetaker may be required
When appropriate and students feel comfortable doing so, they are encouraged to arrange for notetakers independently. However, those students are still required to submit the “Notetaker Registration Form (Student)” to Student Disability Services.
If the above options prove unsuccessful in securing a notetaker, students are asked to e-mail: notetaker@uwindsor.ca
Students who are interested in acting as volunteer notetakers are asked to Submit a Volunteer Notetaker Registration Form to Student Disability Services. Once a student has been approved as a notetaker, an e-mail will be sent acknowledging this important contribution and confirming the details of participation.
