Scheduling, Cancelling or Re-scheduling Tests/Exams

Students who require exam accommodations must schedule their exams with Student Disability Services (SDS) using the SNAP online exam scheduling system, according to the deadlines established for that semester. Examinations will take place in the SDS area and students are expected to arrive at the SDS office early in order to start their exams at the scheduled time. There is a 30 minutes grace period for late arrivals, however students who are late are still expected to complete their exams by the scheduled end time; for example, a student scheduled to write from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. who arrives late, will not be allowed to write beyond 1:00 regardless of his/her start time. Students arriving later than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time will not be allowed to write the exam, and will be allowed to re-schedule/re-write only at the discretion of the instructor. Students who are “no shows” for an exam will likewise be allowed to re-schedule/re-write only at the discretion of the instructor, only after filing a signed Exam Schedule Form with the SDS Exam Coordinator, and scheduling  that change online using SNAP.  As stated above, students who are late for exams or do not show for an exam will be subject to a $50.00 Proctor Service Fee.

Students who arrive at the SDS office to write an exam without having scheduled it with the SDS Exam Coordinator according to policy and procedure will not be allowed to write that exam under SDS supervision. Students cannot be accommodated without appropriate notice, and will be directed back to the regular classroom where they must write with the rest of the class.

The scheduling, cancellation, and/or rescheduling of tests and exams  is solely the responsibility of the student and not the instructor. Students are  responsible for recording their scheduling changes online using the SNAP system, only with the signed authorization of the instructor, submitted to Student Disability Services on a completed Change of Exam Information request form.
