Recent lab news:
  • We welcome Nelsy Niño as a new PhD student to our research team. Nelsy's graduate studies focus on tropical seedeaters. She is co-supervised by Dr. Oscar Laverde of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
  • We welcome Connor Acorn as a new Master's student to our research team. Connor's graduate studies focus on Ovenbirds. He is co-supervised by Dr. Jenn Foote of Algoma University.
  • We welcome Dr. Erin Wall as a new Postdoctoral Researcher on our research team. Erin's research on humpback whales is supported by Mitacs with our research partners at Raincoast Conservation Foundation and North Coast Cetacean Society.
  • Congratulations to the many members of our lab who presented research at the joint annual meeting of the American Ornithological Society and Society of Canadian Ornithologists in August.  Read about our experience at the conference here.
