Recently in Toronto the School of Dramatic Art held its annual “Grad Recital” Alumni reception at the Novotel Hotel. The event was supported in part by the University of Windsor Alumni Association. Over 20 former students came to eat a buffet lunch and get together with the current graduating class of the BFA in Acting program and faculty members of the School.

This annual event is held in conjunction with Theatre Ontario’s Showcase of graduating acting students from around the province. Our upcoming grads presented a series of monologue for an invited audience of casting agents and directors.

This year’s reception was our most successful yet. We were very happy to see some familiar faces, some from the past few years, and some from the very first graduating classes of the Acting program! We were also pleased to welcome Dr. Cecil Houston, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Jonathan Braniff, Vice-President, University Advancement to the reception as well.

The SODA Spirit is certainly alive and well!
