Daniel Turner is an ambitious young classical guitarist studying at the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts. He just completed his third year of the bachelor of music degree program, and is studying classical guitar in the studio of Steven Dearing. Upon auditioning for the program, he received an entry scholarship, and has since been awarded the Arlene Jansen award for his talent playing the guitar. Daniel frequently performs at coffee shops, weddings and functions throughout the city, and he teaches both classical, as well as other styles of guitar out of his home studio. He is thrilled to have won the 2015 University of Windsor Concerto Competition, and was grateful for the fantastic opportunity to perform with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra on the Winter Celebration concert on January 16, 2016 at the Capitol Theatre.
