Financial Assistance

There are differences in tuition rates for students classified as either M1 or M2 students, and Canadians and International students.  Please review the current tuition rates.

M1 students are classified as Full-Time Graduate Students – First year and M2 students as Full-Time Graduate Students – Second year.

Students admitted at the M1 level will usually pay for 5 semesters of full time tuition (2 at the M1 tuition rate plus 3 at the M2 tuition rate). Students admitted at the M2 level will usually pay for 3 semesters of full time tuition at the M2 tuition rate.

If an M2 student has a cumulative GPA of A- or higher (University of Windsor equivalent) over the past two years, he or she is eligible for a scholarship. Canadian/permanent resident/landed immigrant students receive a full tuition scholarship. International/visa students receive a substantive reduction in their international student tuition rate.

In addition, students may concurrently hold Graduate (Teaching) Assistantships and Research Assistantships. Graduate Assistantships (GA’s) are offered on the basis of availability of funding from the University. Also, faculty members who hold research grants often hire, on merit, M2 students as Research Assistants.
