Jessica Courtney, who graduated from the Honours Bachelor of Science in Economics program in October 2009, was awarded the University of Windsor's top prize, the President's Medal, at the June 2010 convocation. This honour is given to a graduating student who has made significant contributions to campus activities while maintaining a superior academic record.
In September 2009, she entered the Master of Arts Economics program at Simon Fraser University. Currently, she is serving a work term at BC Hydro, putting her knowledge of economics to use designing incentives and programs to reduce the demand for electricity and help the province reach its goal of energy self-sufficiency.
Jessica also received the Board of Governors medal in Economics, which is awarded to the graduating student with the highest academic standing in the program.
