We are looking for dynamic teachers who have the knowledge and enthusiasm necessary to implement new and innovative ideas that lead to student success. These teachers will build strong relationships with all members of the school community, keeping in mind the importance of parent involvement, whose participation is vital to their children’s success. In addition to your professional teaching certificate, you are skilled in leveraging technology to enhance learning, possess superior interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities and have experience working with students of Aboriginal and multicultural backgrounds.

Located in BC’s interior region, SD57 includes the city of Prince George and extends north to Mackenzie, south to Hixon, and east to McBride and Valemount. Prince George is a multi-cultural city and a post-secondary educational destination with the University of Northern BC and the College of New Caledonia located within the city. It has a student population of approximately 13 286 enrolled in 31 elementary schools, 8 secondary schools, and a Centre for Learning Alternatives. It employs 1900 staff, including 684 (FTE) teachers and 412 (FTE) support staff. The district offers regular English programming, Kindergarten to Grade 12, as well as French Immersion, Montessori and Traditional choice school options. School District No. 57 (Prince George) acknowledges that it is situated on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh people in Prince George and McBride, the McLeod Lake Indian Band in the Mackenzie region, as well as the Simpcw First Nation in Valemount.
