Out-of-Town Proficiency Testing (French and Math)

Candidates who are required to take a proficiency test and are unable to take the test in person will need to make arrangements to take the test from out of town.

It is the candidate's responsibility to find a Proctor for out-of-town proficiency tests.

Candidates are asked to go to a nearby school and obtain permission from the Principal to take this test at this location. The Principal may be the Proctor or the Principal may assign a Proctor.

Once this permission is obtained, candidates will submit the following information to the attention of the Continuing Education Program Secretary at 519-253-3000, Ext. 6734 or at aq@uwindsor.ca

  • the names and email addresses of the Principal and/or Proctor
  • the name, mailing address and phone number of the school
  • the location, date and time of the test

After we receive the above information, we will email the test and instructions to the Proctor.

Your proctor will monitor the reading and writing portion of the test which should last from one hour to one and a half hours. The proctor will then return this test via email to aq@uwindsor.ca.  The original copy must be mailed to the Faculty of Education in a sealed envelope with the Proctor's signature across the seal.
