Residence

Engineering Community in Alumni and Laurier Halls
Residence is so much more than just a place to live. It’s a chance to be a part of a community that supports your academic goals and personal development. Living on campus puts you just steps away from your classes, Lancer events, social activities and study halls. Engineering communities are found in both Alumni (co-ed floors) and Laurier Hall (single gender floors). Every effort is made to have a student Resident Assistant (RA) who understands the pressures and demands of the engineering curriculum.

Residence offers a number of advantages

  • Steps away from classes
  • Form study groups with classmates living in your community
  • Practice your skills outside of the classroom in the lounge dedicated to engineering students
  • Work with peer mentors dedicated to students in the Engineering Living Learning Community

First-year engineering students living in the engineering community are exempt from Alumni Hall’s first-year GPA requirement. Students beyond first-year are assigned to upper-year floors/wings unless residing in the Engineering Community.
