Dr.Hackam is the recipient of the Innuishi Memorial Award (1998), Japan, the IEEE Third Millennium Medal (2000), the IEEE Eric O.Foster Award (2000), University of Windsor Alumni Award for Distinguished Contributions to University Teaching (1992) and Professor Emeritus (2001).
