Please Note: Other courses can only be included in your overall average, not your Engineering/Science average.
In our experience, students who enter with lower percentages (between 74% and 79%) may struggle to keep up with the course materials in First Year Engineering. The mean incoming average for all students attending Engineering is nominally at 85% (or higher). Lower average students could possibly have a lot of difficulty unless they seek extra help and are very disciplined with their time management.

All Ontario Universities have a centralized application adn registration system called the Ontario Universities Applicatino Centre. Depending on your situation, you will be using either OUAC 101 or OUAC 105 forms to apply to the University.
Once you have completed your application through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC), your application is forwarded on to the University’s Registrar’s Office. Please be aware of the fact that the Faculty of Engineering only reviews your application after it has been forwarded to us by the Office of the Registrar if there are unique reasons involving admissions. If your grades meet our admission criteria, your admission is handled completely by the Office of the Registrar.
Unfortunately, we do not currently consider outside awards or extracurricular activities for your application. Our entrance decisions are based primarily on your marks.
At this stage, recommendation letters, just like extracurricular activities will not generally benefit you in terms of your application. However, such recommendations may be very helpful once you are accepted because they might be useful for other activities you undertake in University.
Offer of admission is based on Grade 11U/M courses with an 85% and registration into 6 Grade 12U/M courses including the pre-requisite courses.
Early admissions or First round admissions are in February and are based on a minimum of 3 Grade 12U/M courses including registration in all six prerequisite courses.
You will need to provide an official transcript and description of the courses you are seeking credit for, to our Registrar's Office for their review. A decision will be made by a committee and you will be notified of the results. You may also want to contact the faculty Dean to see if a challenge exam can be arranged to determine your advanced academic standing in the Engineering program you are pursuing.
In your acceptance and registration package you will find instructions on how to register. The registration booklet will guide you through the steps enabling you to choose your own sections.
