The University of Windsor is home to some of the most innovative engineering research happening in Canada. Whether it is vehicle light-weighting, alternative fuels, hybrid engines, V2V communication, renewable energy technology, new materials, reconfigurable manufacturing, casting technology or sensor development, the University of Windsor has a wide variety of engineering expertise. Much of this research is happening in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation, a 300,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring more than 80 research labs and an industrial courtyard for collaborative work with commercial partners. This R&D hub creates a direct connection between education, research and industrial innovation.
