Now in its second year, the Union Gas-UWin Energywise Partnership in Research and Education has recently attracted national attention. Stories on the radio and in press from Kelowna to Halifax have highlighted the success of this dynamic team made up of UWin Engineering Graduate and Undergraduate Students. The brainchild of Ruth Dekker, Manager of Industrial Demand Side Management at Union Gas, the multidisciplinary team performs energy audits for large Union Gas clients. Last term the team made energy saving recommendations totalling $300,000 per year in potential savings.
