Who is Scribendi?

Founded in 1997, Scribendi has cultivated its reputation as a leader in the online editing and proofreading industry. Today, we are a fast-growing, profitable company with an in-house team of full-time editors as well as an international network of almost 500 freelance editors processing hundreds of orders per day. Located less than an hour from Windsor, Chatham offers low-cost living and promotes an active, outdoor lifestyle. There are opportunities to join an energetic, motivated team and to contribute to rewarding projects in a dynamic corporate culture founded on flexibility and continuous learning.

Opportunities include:

In-House Editor

You would work with our small but dynamic team at our head office in Chatham. Working directly with our Senior Manager and Editorial Quality Manager (both U of W alumni) and our growing editorial team will provide you with hands-on experience and endless opportunities for learning. We have a friendly, positive office culture where you will enjoy perks such as full medical and dental benefits, vision and wellness benefits, a quarterly bonus plan, and, most importantly, all the coffee you can drink!

Freelance Editor

You would have a unique work-from-home opportunity. All you need is a PC with anti-virus software, a secure Internet connection, and the right skillset. Your schedule will be your own, and you can work as much or as little as you want. In the Scribendi system, there's no bidding for orders. Our marketing team brings in the orders, and our fantastic Customer Service team handles all interactions with clients. All you'll have to do is provide great work and meet your deadlines. You'll get paid promptly and securely each month. We also provide access to free educational resources for continued learning. The freelance option is excellent for those who cannot relocate or commute to Chatham.
