Departmental Distinguished Lecturer Dennis Cooley

Poet and critic Dr. Dennis Cooley, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, is this year's Departmental Distinguished Lecturer, and is to talk on his recent literary scholarship.

Cooley's lecture is titled "A Lover's Question: Staging Romance in Kroetsch's The Sad Phoenician."

Dennis Cooley lives in Winnipeg, and teaches at the University of Manitoba. He is author of over a dozen books of poetry and criticism including The Vernacular Muse: The Eye and Ear in Contemporary Literature.

The Departmental Distinguished Lecturer Series is made possible thanks to generous funding provided through Dr. Stephen Pender's Research Leadership Chair in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
