Welcome home to the University of Windsor
A message from the provost

Dear Colleague,

You have taken an important step in your career in accepting an appointment at the University of Windsor.  Whether your appointment is as a tenured or tenure track professor, as a lecturer, ancillary academic staff, librarian, or administrator, you have joined a vibrant community of dedicated professionals devoted to enhancing the student experience through teaching and student engagement, and to enriching the fabric of our community and nation through research, scholarship, and creative expression.

Our campus has historical roots back to 1857, but we are very modern in our orientation.  Our students, faculty and staff come from around the globe.  They are drawn to a dynamic university that places the student experience at the forefront of its strategic plans while similarly providing a nurturing and collegial environment in which to engage in fundamental and applied research, and creative expression.

We want to ensure your transition to our campus is a success.  I ask you to peruse this website where you will find resources to assist you in launching a successful and productive career at the University of Windsor.  Please feel free to give us feedback or raise questions for which you have not found answers.  My email address is jberrym@uwindsor.ca, and I encourage you to let me know what more we can do to ensure a successful launch of your career.

Sincerely,

Jeff Berryman
Distinguished University Professor
Acting Provost and Vice-President, Academic
