Parking on Campus

Parking at University of Windsor campus lots is strictly enforced every day between 7am and 11pm. The Parking Services website contains detailed information about the University’s parking options and regulations.

Faculty and staff may purchase annual passes to use a reserved campus lot or the University of Windsor parking garage on Wyandotte Avenue. You may opt to have your parking fees deducted monthly from your pay. Faculty are assigned to specific parking lots in accordance with seniority and on a waiting-list basis. Refer to Faculty and Staff Parking Permits for complete details. You may also find it helpful to refer to the Campus Map.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is assigned on a case-by-case basis. Where required, Parking Services will consult with the Office of Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility to evaluate special requests. If you require special accommodation for parking due to a disability, you are invited to discuss your specific needs with Campus Parking Services. You will be required to purchase a special pass.

Visitor Parking

Several paid options are available for short-term visitors to the university. To make special parking arrangements for a visitor travelling on University business, please contact Parking Services.

Bicycle Parking

Free outdoor bicycle parking can be found across campus at multiple designated locations. There is a covered bicycle parking shelter on the courtyard in front of Lambton Tower.

Ticket Payment

UWindsor parking tickets can be paid online.

Street Parking

Many residential streets within walking distance permit parking only to vehicles displaying appropriate Residential Parking Permits. If you choose to park off campus, please pay close attention to public signage to determine whether street parking is permissible. City of Windsor parking tickets can be paid online.

Metered parking is available on several streets around and within the University campus, notably including University Avenue, Huron Church Road, and Wyandotte Street. Note that these meters are closely monitored and stringently enforced by the City of Windsor.

Campus Parking Services is located on the first floor of the Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre. Regular office hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

If you have a specific parking-related question, please contact Parking Services at Extension 2413 or parking@uwindsor.ca.

You can also submit a query to Parking Services using its online Contact form. You should receive a response within one business day.

Note: This site is a living document, the goal of which is to improve, in some small way, the working lives of University of Windsor faculty. We are eager to collaborate with the campus community to better this service over time.
