Residence

Where will I live?

UWindsor offers many accommodation choices from traditional residence rooms to suite-style arrangements. View our facilities or visit us in person.

Is there financial assistance available?

Full-time Canadian undergraduate students who live in residence and maintain a minimum B average automatically qualify for a $500/semester scholarship, for up to four years. For more information, visit Student Awards and Financial Aid Office for Entrance Awards changes and limitations.

How will I handle living on my own?

Our compassionate, well-trained student and full-time professional live-in staff will be on hand 24-7 to support you.

How are rooms assigned?

Rooms in Alumni and Cartier are assigned based on your entrance mark at time of room assignment.  Students with the highest average are assigned based on their first-choice hall preference. We continue to fill with students’ first-choice preference while space is available, then assign by the second-choice and finally, by the third-choice.

“ Residence is a safe place to live
and a great place to grow. It is where strangers
come together to form a community.
I am proud to have lived and worked in
residence for my entire undergraduate career.
I would highly recommend it
to anybody lucky enough to call
UWindsor their home. ”
