Spring Open House



Classical Civilization

  • Classical studies focus on the Greek love affair with life (the quest for ideals of beauty, truth and justice) and the Roman sense of destiny and imperial greatness (the unceasing struggle against the forces of barbarism)
  • First-year courses include the civilizations of Greece and Rome, and introductory Greek or Latin language courses
  • No previous knowledge of Greek or Latin is necessary
  • Immerse yourself in the art, literature, history and culture of the ancient world
  • Possible degree combinations include Modern Languages, History and Philosophy

Degree Bachelor of Arts (General) - 3 year; Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - 4 year in Classical Civilization
Minimum Admission Average: 70%
Mean Admission Average: 80%

  • Students may choose to double major in any BA Honours program
