Criminology

  • Examines criminal activity, security and legal issues as major influences on society
  • Focus on the causes, consequences, and control of crime (study of victims of crime, prosecution of criminals, criminal law, policing, the sentencing and punishment of offenders)
  • Learn about the images and management of crime, how crime and criminal behaviours are identified, the development and application of criminal laws and penal sanctions, community based punishment, and issues of criminal justice

ENG4U required.  Students must re-apply for admission to year three of the Criminology program.
