Developmental Psychology

• Four-year Developmental Psychology and Developmental Psychology with Thesis programs focus on child, adolescent and adult development
• Courses emphasize different developmental periods and various aspects of both normal and abnormal development
• Participate in ongoing research projects and apply classroom skills by getting involved in community organizations
• In fourth year, students can apply to participate in the Developmental Psychology practicum to review learning-based behaviour change strategies and apply them in community placements
• Developmental Psychology prepares students to apply for non-psychology professional degrees (e.g., teaching, nursing, social work)
• Developmental Psychology with Thesis program prepares students to apply for MA and PhD degrees in psychology

• Developmental Psychology program: graduate or certificate programs leading to careers that include teaching, nursing, social work, child care, elder care, health care settings, community agencies
