Bachelor of Arts (General or Honours) - BA

  • The theories and techniques of economics.
  • Specialize in “big picture” macroeconomics studying unemployment, economic growth, inflation and deficits.
  • Study microeconomics – individual decision-making in firms and households and their interactions.
  • Specialize in specific fields such as labour, international trade, public finance or econometrics.

Bachelor of Science (Honours) - BSc

  • The theories and techniques of economics.
  • Specialize in “big picture” macroeconomics studying unemployment, economic growth, inflation and deficits.
  • Study microeconomics – individual decision-making in firms and households and their interactions.
  • Specialize in specific fields such as labour, international trade, public finance or econometrics.
  • A more technically demanding program than the Honours Bachelor of Arts program, requiring greater theoretical, mathematical and empirical sophistication. Designed for students interested in graduate studies or working as economists.

Requirements:
  • BA Economics General: ENG4U required
  • BA Economics Honours: ENG4U and MHF4U is required.MCV4U and MDM4U are strongly recommended.
  • BSc in Economics - ENG4U and MHF4U required. MCV4U AND MDM4U are strongly recommended. 70% Minimum Admission average; 84% Mean Admission average.
