Scholarships and bursaries

Student Entrance Awards

Who is eligible?

Students with demonstrated potential entering directly from high school. Some awards recognize academic achievement and leadership potential; others are based on financial need.

How do I apply?

All first-year students are automatically considered for select awards based on their high school grades. Once you are admitted, you can apply for more awards using our Awards Search.

What marks do I need?

Canadian high school students are considered based on the average of the best six grade 12 U/M final and mid-term grades available in May.

Residence Entrance Scholarship

Living in UWindsor Residence with a high school average between 75-100%?  You may be eligible for $500/term, renewable for up to a total of 8 terms.

Can I combine scholarships?

Yes. Residence, Renewable Entrance Scholarships, the Outstanding Scholars Program and many others may be combined.

Outstanding Scholars

What is it?

Student in research labA mentoring scholarship program that lets you work closely with faculty members on academic projects from year 2 through 4.

What programs offer it?

Four-year (honours) programs in Bachelor of Arts & Science Program, Classical Studies, Chemistry (not Biochemistry), Computer Science, Economics (not Business and Economics), Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, French Studies, Labour Studies, Mathematics and Statistics, Modern Languages, Music, Philosophy, Physics, and Women’s Studies.

What will I receive?

To maintain eligibility, students must achieve a minimum A- at the end of each semester along with other criteria.
