Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS) and Queen Elizabeth II-Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST)

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) programs encourage excellence in graduate studies at publicly-assisted universities in Ontario.

Students in all disciplines are eligible to apply for the OGS.

Students in science, engineering and certain areas of kinesiology and psychology who apply for OGS will also automatically be considered for the QEII-GSST.

Duration of scholarship

The scholarships can be awarded for a minimum of two terms; however, it is anticipated that the majority of scholarships will be awarded for three terms. One-term awards are not granted. Because one-term awards are not permitted, students will be required to repay the award amount should they withdraw from or complete their program before receiving the minimum. The duration of the scholarship is up to the University of Windsor Graduate Awards Committee and is dependent upon where the applicant is in their program at the time of adjudication and is also subject to provincial guidelines.

The value of the scholarship is $5,000 per term. Depending on eligibility, recipients may receive either two terms ($10,000) or three terms ($15,000) of funding.

Application process

The scholarship competitions are managed separately by each university.

The 2018-19 University of Windsor Competition has closed.
