Green Shield Activation for Fall 2011

Please be advised that all full-time graduate students that registered for the first time this academic year and have paid their GSS drug/dental benefits fee of $561.87, you have now been activated for Green Shield for the duration of September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2012.  In order for you to receive your Green Shield subscriber number and be able to print your new Green Shield ID card, you must first REGSISTER on the Green Shield website at:  Go to http://www.greenshield.ca/.

1. On the left-hand side menu, click on Student Centre.
2. Scroll down and locate the University of Windsor heading and click on Graduate Student Society (WGS).
3. At the bottom right-hand side, click on the Register link (for Plan Member Online Services).
4. You now need to fill out the Account Registration page.
   • Choose a user name.
     • It must be between 8 and 20 characters. Only letters and numbers are allowed.
   • Choose a password.
   • It must be between 8 and 32 characters. Only letters and numbers are allowed.
   • Enter your email address.
   • Enter your daytime and/or evening phone number(s).
   • Enter a Challenge Question.
   • Enter a Challenge Answer.
   • For Green Shield ID Number, fill in WGS followed by your student ID number.
   • Fill in your first name.
   • Fill in your last name.
   • Check off I am authorized to view claims information concerning any and all dependents enrolled under my Green Shield ID Number.
   • Click Register.
5. Printing of your Green Shield identification card – WGS followed by your student number
6. Printing of Reimbursement forms for drugs, dental, vision services that you have already used since September 1, 2011 before activation.
7. Access to the addresses of where to send your reimbursement form(s) along with your original receipt.
8. Choice of signing up for automatic deposits for reimbursement cheque(s).
9. Viewing the maximum allowances for each benefit of the GSS benefits plan.
