New position comes with lots of responsibilities. As the president of Graduate Student Society (GSS), I promise the graduate students for a fun-filled, enjoyable yet accountable journey for the academic year 2013-2014. I am pursuing my PhD in department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with the prestigious NSERC CGS Scholarship. I finished my Master’s from the same in August 2011. This is my 3rd term in serving the GSS and 2nd time as the GSS executive. I have served the GSS as ECE departmental representative in the year 2009-2010 and as the Vice-President Finance, Operations and Human Resources in the year 2011-2012. I am honored that students acknowledged my dedication to the GSS and put their faith on me for this academic year again.

For me, the work is simple. “Reach for and nourish the root, you would get a healthy tree”. I would love to work for the students at the root level with their constructive feedback and want to improve the graduate students’ experience in the University. Currently the GSS is undergoing lots of new developments and as the elected President I would put my best efforts to see them through with utmost honesty and sincerity. The long desired new Grad House is on the horizon and I am working day and night, heart and soul to make it a grand success. I am looking forward to represent the graduate students’ views and being vocal anywhere it needs me to be. My goal is to fight for each and individual graduate student in a more logistic and procedural way. I would appreciate all your constructive criticism to make me work better and keep the GSS standard high and well-founded. Please help me to make our voices heard.

I wish you all a very successful stay at the University of Windsor.
