Writing

Consult the History department writing guidelines for information on organizing a research paper and citing sources using the Chicago style.

Tools

For keeping track of sources and generating footnotes and bibliographies try Zotero, "a free, easy-to-use Firefox extension to help you collect, manage, and cite your research sources."

Ethics

If your research involves human subjects (e.g. oral history) you will need to obtain ethics clearance from the University of Windsor's Research Ethics Board. Graduate students should begin with the REB's Introduction to Graduate Student Research.  Visit this link for REB forms.
