The Canada Research Chair in History of International Health is designed to complement the Master's program in History at the University of Windsor.
This M.A. program in History combines the craft of historical research, writing and analysis with an orientation to contemporary modes of historical interpretation. Most courses are organized around theme areas such as cultural and social history, health, gender and sexuality -- permitting students to orient their own research to sources from Canada, Europe including Britain, the United States or Latin America.
Graduate students working in areas of history related to medicine, health, and disease have access to the Chair's computer and media facilities and its work space in the Assumption building, and can seek funding for research through the Chair.
Besides, graduate students from other disciplines working in related areas of health are welcome to incorporate into our research unit.
