
The History Department is pleased to announce that University of Windsor graduate Carmen Poole, has published a new article. The article is titled, "'Not of the Nation': Canadian History Textbooks and the Impossibility of an African-Canadian Identity." and will be published in a forthcoming special issue of the Southern Journal of Canadian Studies, "Constructing Black Canada."
Poole. a 2002 M.A. history graduate, is currently completing a doctorate in History and Philosophy of Education at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She is also a University of Windsor sessional professor for History 249, Women in Canada and the U.S., 1600-1870, and History 362, African Americans and Canadians Post-Emancipation.
