Location: Windsor Assembly Plant
Duration of opening: Begins as a one year contract with a strong possibility of being hired on direct
Pay Rate: $25/hr.  Overtime after 40 hours
 
Must Have
·         University degree in Industrial Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
·         Interpersonal skills
·         Excellent computer skills i.e.-Microsoft, Excel.  Chrysler uses a specific system called M system that new hires will be trained on.
·         Prefer candidates that have done a co-op placement in a manufacturing environment
 
Main responsibilities will include conducting time studies, layouts, and man assignments.  First 2 months will be spent shadowing current employee to get up to speed with Chrysler systems and strategies.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with team leaders and supervisors.

Platform Engineer:

Description:

Ability to complete projects by set deadline
Ability to generate confidence and credibility at the working level of customer engineering
Support cost saving activities at both the internal and external customers
Create, monitor and report out design changes within the customers internal design change system
Seek New Business Opportunities

Main Duties:  
Deliver Engineered Solutions by:
Assisting the packaging of Bookshelved Components within Design Standards
Assisting the Development of System FMEA’s and DVP&R’s
Releasing the System to the Customer
Meeting Engineering Cost Targets
Validating System through Analytical and/or Physical Testing
Support Internal and OEM Launch Activities
Support Customer documentation requirements including BOM, 8D, EWO, PRTS, and PPAP's.
Interface with CoE & Concept Development Teams
Support customer on site
Meet the PDP Process Deliverables from a Platform Execution Point of View
Assist Lead with SOW's and RFQ's
Coordinate Customer Meetings
Support customer warranty process

Skills & Qualifications:
4+ years experience in Applied Automotive Engineering
Door System or Component Level Design Experience - minimum 3 years
Component Analysis and Testing Experience
Technical Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Design
MUST HAVE WERS EXPERIENCE
