This locally-developed, comprehensive survey of alumni provides information not only on the use of and satisfaction with alumni services but also the value and benefits of a University of Windsor education.
Timing: Periodically
Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS):
The Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey is the Canadian version of the Graduate and Professional Student survey developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is designed to assess information on the graduate school experience, ranging from financial support to postgraduate plans.
Timing: Every three years to coincide with Ontario universities participation
Canadian Undergraduate Survey Consortium (CUSC):
The Canadian Undergraduate Survey Consortium (CUSC) surveys first-year students, all undergraduates and graduating students in successive years over a 3-year cycle. The surveys assess student satisfaction with educational quality and various aspects of the university experience as well as the university’s contribution to knowledge and skill development.
Timing: Periodically
The Declined Student Survey:
The Declined Survey is a locally-developed survey designed to identify reasons some applicants offered admission by the University of Windsor, fail to register.
Timing: Annually
Law School Survey of Student Engagement (LSSSE):
The Law School Survey of Student Engagement is designed to help law schools assess the extent to which their students are engaged in educationally purposeful activities. LSSSE was developed by researchers at the Indiana University Centre for Postsecondary Research.
Timing: Periodically to coincide with Canadian law schools participation
National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE):
The National Survey of Student Engagement asks first-year and senior undergraduate students about their involvement in institutional practices known to be associated with positive educational outcomes. Developed by researchers at the Indiana University Center for Postsecondary Research, it is used widely in the U.S and Canada.
Timing: Every three years to coincide with Ontario universities participation
UWindsor Graduate Success Survey (UWGSS):
The UWindsor Graduate Success Survey is a locally developed survey designed to measure the success of recent graduates in terms of access to jobs, current employment, graduate school and overall satisfaction with their education experience.
Timing: Annually
Work-Integrated Learning Student Survey (WIL)
The WIL Student Survey is a joint initiative of 13 Ontario universities and colleges led by the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (HEQCO). The survey explores graduating student perceptions and concerns about work-integrated learning including co-ops, internships, practicums, field placements, etc.
