 Volunteer International Students Assistance: VISA

This group of volunteers organize social events and help to make the International Students Orientation a great success every semester.

In their weekly meetings, all international students have chance to meet new friends and take part in fun social activities.

International Student Society ISS 

All international students are automatically members of this society. The I.S.S. acts as a unifying force for all international students on campus and serves as a medium of communication between the members of the I.S.S. and the governing bodies of the University, the UWSA or any other recognized society.

The I.S.S consists of members elected during the school year for a period of one year, by international students.

This email list allows its subscribers to be up to date on news, job opportunities, scholarships and a number of events that involve international students or multiculturalism at the U of W.

Language Conversation Groups

The ISC is hosting free conversation sessions in English, French and Spanish

Host for the Holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas)

This is a unique opportunity for international students to enjoy a traditional holiday celebration with members of the university community.

Located in the North wing of Assumption University Building, next to the CAW. (look for the old building with green steeples and crosses)

International Wednesdays (From September to April)

Every Wednesday at 12 noon, the International Student Centre will show a documentary with an international topic. You can see a complete list of our documentaries here

International Student Identity, ISIC Card 

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is the essential discount card designed for full-time students. Each year, more than 4.5 million students worldwide get the ISIC for access to over 40,000 student discounts and benefits in 120 countries. Save at home and abroad on travel, accommodation, food and drink, entertainment, admissions to museums and cultural attractions, retail purchases and more.

To get your ISIC card visit the office oif UWSA (2nd floor CAW) and bring your validated student card and a passport size photo.

The Windsor and Essex County Smart Community, through its Connecting Windsor-Essex activities, provides participant organizations, entities, families and individuals with community engagement, governance, access to infrastructure and on-line services, as well as smart results that demonstrate new opportunities, well-being and connectedness to improve the quality of life in learning, work and play.
