Lights. Excitement. Culture.

These are just for the starters, as the menu runs deeper at the upcoming Festival of Lights, proudly hosted by the International Student Society (ISS) at University of Windsor. Come fall, ISS busies itself with organizing the biggest event on campus for all international communities. Every year, just when the herald of the glorious winter looms round the corner, we at ISS do something spectacular to electrify the campus and the community around in a grand confluence of global cultures - celebrating the various traditions and art forms from around the world. It is this time of the year that every student feels explicitly grateful for being part of one of the more diverse campuses in North America.
The Festival of Lights is planned to span across the evening of November 25th at the CAW centre on the University of Windsor campus. We have made sure that just the thumping beats of the Punjabi Bhangra, the rhythms of the Bangladeshi band, and the enticing floor beat echos of the Egyptian and Chinese dances are sufficient to correctly guide the attendees to the CAW centre. Once the sub-woofers calm down, the inter-cultural effulgence is planned to take over, slowly luring the audience towards a carefully picked representation of exotic culinary treats.
It all begins at half past 6, as the sun sets over Windsor revealing the eye dazzling shimmer over the University of Windsor campus.
