Attachments Blocked at E-Mail Server to Protect Campus Systems
The following list contains file extensions that will not be allowed through the e-mail filter starting in August, 2004. It is believed that files with these extensions have a high probability of containing a virus, worm or some other form of malicious code.
If there is legitimate mail that you are unable to send because of these restrictions, IT Services suggests that you ZIP the file and send it in this manner or make it a .rtf or .pdf. If you require assistance, please use the Client Service Portal.
# The *.???.* style entries match against
# the "double extension" that some viruses
# use to trick users. Even if you remove
# *.exe from this list, you might want to keep
# *.???.exe to protect against this threat.
